Hollygarth Stables

Located west of Eminence, Kentucky in beautifull Henry county, this full care boarding stables offers many facilities and services to its boarders and students. Just 45 minutes from Louisville and Franfort and one hour from Lexington, Kentucky Hollygarth Stables is centrally located in the middle of horse country.

Hollygarth is built on 20 acres of land and has 2 stabling buildings. The Small stables has 4 stalls and the Larger stables has 16 stalls. All stalls are 12' X 12'. They are cleaned daily and use pine shaving bedding that is replenished weekly. The smaller stables is used for retired horses or close monitoring of any horse that requires special attention and has a living quarters on the second story that is constantly occupied.

The larger stables has an attached indoor riding arena 160' X 56' that rarely gets below freezing in winter, has a cool breeze in the summer, and allows borders and students to ride at any time of the year in any weather. There are 2 secure tack rooms that allow boarders to store equipement when not in use.

There is an outdoor riding arena 150' X 75' that is avaliable for use during good weather days for riding and training as well as an outdoor round pen. Around the back turnout pasture there is a 1/3rd mile circlular turf training track that dips into a low spot on either side. Also available is access to over 600 acres of farmland were boarders and students can ride around crops and 80 acres of wooded riding trails

Hollygarth stables host several events and clinics thoughout the year and these will be posted as they are set up. Past events include clinics from T.J. Clibborn and Terry Wilson ,

Riding lessons are available from the Primary Riding Instructor and Horse Trainer

Instruction provides general riding for ages 6 and up

Horse training is performed using soft hand technics
